A message from Peter & Shabira, founders of Hush Festival.
WIth a heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Hush festival. All ticket holders will be refunded in full in the coming days.
We’ve been incredibly encouraged by the response to the idea — from audiences, artists, and our local community — and are very grateful for all the support and enthusiasm we’ve received. However, ticket sales have been slower than we had hoped, reflecting a challenging environment that many festivals are currently facing. This combined with the significant and rising costs of staging a festival meant that we were no longer able to continue with confidence.
We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to all the artists, suppliers, partners and collaborators who have been part of bringing Hush to life — their support has meant a great deal.
We continue to believe strongly in the idea behind Hush — a quieter, more mindful way of experiencing music — and we’re not walking away from that. We’ll be continuing our Hush Hour concerts celebrating local talent, and exploring other ways to keep Hush alive in the future.
