Joseph Tawadros is an internationally acclaimed oud virtuoso and composer whose music bridges classical, jazz and Middle Eastern traditions. Born in Cairo and raised in Australia, he has built a global reputation for expanding the expressive possibilities of the oud while collaborating across genres and cultures.

 

A multi-ARIA Award winner, Tawadros has released more than 20 albums and performed with leading orchestras and jazz ensembles around the world, including collaborations with musicians such as Richard Tognetti and John Abercrombie. His work combines intricate rhythmic interplay, lyrical improvisation and a deep respect for musical heritage.
